Red Cabbage Science Experiment

Mrs Brown brought some red cabbage to school and explained that we were going to use it to find out whether a liquid was an acid or a base... How are we going to do that? First we chopped the cabbage in to strips and placed it into a bowl. Mrs Brown poured some boiling water into the bowl. After a few minutes we extracted the purple cabbage water from the bowl and put it into cups... This purple water is our indicator! We took turns adding acids and bases to the indicator these are some pictures of us discovering...

Writer's Tree

This is a picture of our writer's tree. Everytime Mrs Brown reads a captivating sentence in our writing, she writes it onto a leaf and attaches it to our tree. Everyone has a least one leaf and it grows every week!

Mutlicultural Stay - By K-C H

Multicultural Stay

Sleepiness devours my mind, making me mindless.
Drowning in my dream I’m hoping I will get a good night sleep.
All around me people are playing poker, eating lollies, calling my name.
Waiting and waiting for the night to end.
The clock ticking follows my mind.
Disturbing smells float past my nose trying to get in.
They dig their way in and wake me up...
